No. Before we update, Tech must test first and get clearance from the Tech and Curriculum Directors.

No. Students/members cannot be in the classrooms unattended. They can only be in the classrooms if their teacher is present for a private lesson/class or a member reserved the room. If a teacher is not present for a class or private lesson, a tech or staff member would need to be in the classroom, and then the students/members can enter.

After a private lesson, class or membership reservation, students/members must leave the room so Tech can set up for the next event.

Yes. The Lost & Found is at the front desk. Please see Admissions for details.

Due to the delicate nature of the SSL Mixing Console, we require all members and member guests to be accompanied by a certified SSL audio engineer or technician before interacting with the mixing console. For more information, ask a SoundColletive staff member.

Due to liability concerns, students and members are not permitted to bring their children to class with them.

Due to the complex nature of our DJ and Production stations, we require all students, members, and member guests to work with a SoundCollective staff member to make any changes outside of the standard station setup. If you require changes or are unsure if your ideal setup is outside of the standard station setup, please ask a SoundCollective staff member for assistance. Students and members may plug in their own flash drives into the USB Dock to save their work or access their media.

Yes, students are permitted to bring their own laptops and gear to class. However, SoundCollective cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of your personal property. As a reminder, SoundCollective provides laptops featuring the latest industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), plugins, and more for students, members, and guests to use during their sessions.

Students and members should collect and save their work to their own flash drives. We’ve added a reminder to do so to all of our computers’ desktops.
If the fire alarm goes off in the building and it is not a test, we will all need to exit the building single-file up the steps to Broadway. The meeting place is the Charging Bull. If the Broadway exit is blocked, we must exit the building out the back door single file and exit to New St. The meeting place will be the Charging Bull.

Guests are welcome! We encourage you to bring your friends and collaborators to jam at our facility. Please send us a list of your guests’ names when you book your room.

Recording engineers and streaming services are available at an additional cost. Please contact us for more details at (646) 747-0144 or [email protected].

If you need us to provide specific instruments for your session, please let us know ahead of time so we can reserve them for you.

You may opt out of being included in media material when checking in to the facility at the front desk.
